There is no such thing as a "Lucky Punch". Regarless of a person's fighting skills (or lack of), when a punch is thrown, the intention of the person throwing it is to hit his opponent. PERIOD.

I have 2 points. 1. Povetkin is only a year older than last year. So he’s not much “older.” 2. He’s only lost 2 fights. Klitchko and Joshua. Whyte isn’t on their level. This fight can go either way. I just hope Povetkin didn’t take some Casino bribe to take a fall in a certain round to make some serious cash and retire.

he wasn't "losing the fight!" The Russian lost the round of the knockdowns... and ONLy because of Whites couple of combinations. Sure, the commentary was insanely one-sided and the whole thing was bias. But if one wants to see the fight with no sound and pays attention, one cand see Povetkin was hunting and driving the fight, how he had the most significant power punches, the most of successful attacks, the territory, etc... so apart from the two combinations that put him down, I cannot see where this impression comes from. Bias is wrong not because "it's not nice!" But because of its departure from reality.

Povetkin will be in better shape this time, he’s bound to have watch back his performance to rectify his mistakes. I see Povetkin winning again because he can box, if his fitness is right. I like Whyte he sounds like a good guy and I wish him all the best, but he ain’t no body snatcher... he’s been brutally (body snatched) knocked out a couple times. Whyte ain’t no match for the top heavyweights of boxing, Wilder, Ruiz Jr, Usyk, Joshua, Fury NO WAY!!! I do hope Whyte wins, but if Povetkin sorts out his fitness problem I don’t know.

  59. Mike Ford

    Mike Ford17 päivää sitten

Whyte won't except he is not in the same class and no where near experianced. Thinks he can go in blazing. Povetkin maybe an old fighter but he is wise. I like how relaxed he is and does his talking in the ring where whyte as we know is Cocky and talks like he is up there with the best and ready to beat anybody lol. We even saw AJ beat him up after whyte running his mouth off. Ide just like to see whyte get tought another lesson and brought down to earth possibly with another KO.

Still biased from haye.i didnt think povetkin looked gone at all ,to me he looked the more technical boxer than whyte ,he was going to whyte body constantly to soften him up for that gorgeous uppercut. Only thing that makes this fight close is povetkin age and whytes size advantage.the biased commentry in the fight made me sick even at the end of the fight they was telling povetkin to stop celebrating which was a disgrace,he has always been a respectful fighter. May the best man win,I see whyte edging the rematch just through size and youth .

I wouldn't say it was a lucky punch either. It was a textbook, duck, slip under and explode. I can tell Dillian is angry with Povetkin, and seems to have all his emotions involved, which you can't afford to do against a fighter with good technical ability and KO power.

Haye is right, not a lucky punch, Povetkin throws that punch as standard for many years. There's highlights of Povetkin vs Chagaev from 2011 on youtube, watch them and you'll see that same left uppercut land about 20 times clean on Chagaev but he eats it. Not normally a KO punch for Povetkin but it was against Whyte, and no doubt he'll be using it again and again in the rematch.
